Whiskey Sour

Ingredients

  • 50ml bourbon whiskey (American whiskey)
  • 25ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 25ml simple sugar syrup (proportion 1:1 – 1 part of water to 1 part of sugar)
  • 15ml pasteurised egg white ( ! Consuming raw or lightly cooked eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness).
  • 2 dashes (1dash ≈ 0.5ml) Angostura Bitters
  • ice cubes

Equipment

  • Shaker
  • Fine Mesh Strainer

How to make Whiskey Sour

Shake all ingredients with ice and fine strain into ice-filled glass.

Glass

Rocks glass.

Garnish

Lemon slice & maraschino cherry on stick.
