Bloody Mary

The Bloody Mary is a classic cocktail that is known for its bold and complex flavour, it’s a popular brunch drink, and it’s enjoyed by many for its balance of savoury and spicy flavours. The origin of the Bloody Mary is uncertain, but it’s believed to have been created in the 1920s or 1930s. It’s a versatile drink that can be customized to suit individual preferences, with variations such as the Bloody Maria, which swaps vodka for tequila, offering a unique twist on the classic recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 50ml vodka
  • 15ml Worcestershire Sauce
  • 15ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2-3 dashes Tabasco Original Sauce (for medium spicy)
  • half a teaspoon of horseradish
  • 1 pinch celery salt
  • 1 grind black pepper
  • 110ml tomato juice
  • ice cubes

Equipment:

  • Shaker (for rolling, do not shake).

How to make Bloody Mary:

Roll all ingredients with ice (5-6 times, do not shake) and strain into ice-filled glass.

Glass:

Highball.

Garnish:

Celery stick, lemon slice and pinch of black pepper.
